Lithology and Thickness

Clayey limestone and Evaporite. There are beds of anhydrite, mudstones, and thin limestones, which overlie the "Basal Fars Conglomerate." (Jeribe Fm.). And a top "Upper Red Beds" portion which is comprised of red mudstones, siltstones, and limestone. The Upper part of the formation is 400m, followed by a basal unit of 220m, with 100m of cyclically interbedded gypsum and green marl. In Kuwait it is Anhydrite.

Lower contact

Regionally, the schematic strat column indicates the next older unit as Jeribe Fm. In Kuwait it is Ghar Fm
